Knowledge is power. Or, is it?

Unlike many articles you may find on Medium, this article provides more questions than answers. The answers you will derive from these questions will in large part, depend on you area nd where you are on your life journey.

What would you do today if you knew what was going to happen tomorrow, the next month, year? Would it shape your thinking, your behavior? Tomorrow is the unknown. The things about which we have no knowledge. But, if that knowledge were given to us, what would we do with it. I would suggest the possibilities would be limitless.

As an example, if given the choice, would we want to know the exact date of our death? I guess it depends on the person as this would certainly be an individual choice. If we were given this insight, how would this guide our behavior from the time we knew up until the date of our death? Would it change the way we behave? Could it act as a destructive force and take away the challenges we face each day in our lives.

Part of knowing or not knowing would most certainly shape our lives. Whether this shaping becomes a negative or positive force depends on the individual.

We may find that knowing our death date robs us of living life and achieving despite obstacles placed in our way. What shapes our character is the day to day struggles, the failures and…
